The Beatson Institute is growing. We have built a new research centre, in the open parkland of Glasgow University's Garscube campus, and plan to double our size over the next few years. We are now looking to recruit outstanding and enthusiastic scientists as detailed below.

Outline of Positions in the Institute

Senior/Clinical Group Leader

Senior level appointment with major support from our Cancer Research UK core grant. Opportunities for external funding are also available.

Junior Group Leader

7 year appointment with generous core support for a small independent research programme. Promotion to Senior Group Leader may be considered within 6 years.

Senior Scientist

Head of a research core or facility.

Postdoctoral Fellow

Fixed term position for three years, with the possibility of up to two years extension based on performance, progress and potential.

Clinical Research Fellow

3-4 year studentships are available for clinically qualified applicants to do research studies leading to a PhD. 4 year PhD studentships are also available for science graduates to do research studies leading to PhD. See 'Education' for more details.

Scientific Officer

Postgraduate or trainee appointment working within research group.

Research Services

Postgraduate or trainee appointment in specialised service area.

Administration

Post in departments with accounts, personnel and secretarial duties at various levels.
