| 2009 JP Award winner announced |
 After an outstanding series of talks yesterday by third year PhD
students at the Beatson and much deliberation, the JP Award panel chose
Marta Dozynkiewicz from Jim
Norman's group to receive this year's John Paul Career Award. Marta
gave an excellent seminar describing her work on integrin recycling and
tumour cell invasion.Many congratulations to Marta, and many thanks to the other participants and all those who came along to listen to the talks. All third year PhD students at the Beatson are eligible for this Award, named after Dr John Paul, the founding Director of the Beatson Institute for Cancer Research. Candidates prepare a progress report on their work, and present a lecture to staff and other students. Thursday 17th September 2009 |
