Our Drug Discovery Unit was established in 2009. Building on the work of colleagues across the Institute and the wider CRUK and academic community to validate and optimise potential drug targets, there are scientific opportunities for both chemists and biologists at various levels. These roles will appeal to those who have either biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience, or an interest in further validating drug targets and developing potential drugs.
The variety of roles within the Drug Discovery Unit ranges from scientific officers at all levels to staff scientists/team leaders. A degree level qualification in a relevant discipline is required for all roles within Drug Discovery, and in many cases a postgraduate one also. We typically only consider applicants for Drug Discovery roles when a vacancy arises.
