| Summer Interns |
|
We receive a number of requests each year from undergraduate students studying Life Sciences who are considering a career in cancer research and want to experience for themselves what it is like working in a research lab. We have therefore introduced a Summer Internship programme at the Beatson to allow the best and brightest students to work over the summer in our state-of-the-art labs alongside our world-class scientists. Our research groups study a wide range of topics related to the cell biology of cancer and use a number of different techniques in their work.
As an Intern, you will be employed by the Beatson for 8 to 12 weeks and paid approximately £200 per week (complies with the national minumum wage). To find out more about what it's like being an intern at the Beatson, see the newsletter article written by David Huels, one of our students from 2009:
To be eligible, you must be a UK/EU undergraduate student studying for a Life Sciences degree. To apply, please send a brief CV outlining your academic qualifications and career-to-date to Dr Jackie Beesley (email:

Please note, the summer interns have been assigned for 2012 and we are no longer accepting applications. |
