Beatson Workshop October 2022

We are delighted to invite you to our workshop "Problems in the Powerhouse: Mitochondrial Dysfunction in Cancer" at the Cancer Research UK Beatson Institute in Glasgow. Mitochondria have emerged as crucial regulators of cancer and our workshop will address the roles of these fascinating organelles in a range of key topics including metabolism, cell death, inflammation and genetic dysregulation.

The overall aim of our workshop is to facilitate interaction and collaboration between national and international scientists at all career stages and to provide a stimulating and enjoyable environment in which to explore how mitochondria contribute to cancer development and therapy.

The Cancer Research UK Beatson Institute offers an ideal location for the workshop, combining expertise in cancer biology with renowned mitochondrial research at the institute and the University of Glasgow.

Alongside an exciting line-up of invited speakers, we will provide Early Career Researchers with the opportunity to present their work in 15 minute short talks or during poster sessions. There will be numerous occasions for informal networking including dinner and entertainment in the evening.

Please sign up for the workshop using the registration form. Registration is £200.00 per delegate, excluding overnight accommodation.
