Salary Range: £33,000 to £43,000 dependent on experience

Starting Salary from £24,776 to £41,536 (depending on experience) plus relocation allowance where applicable. 

We seek a scientist/laboratory manager with excellent collaborative and project management skills to provide day to day management of the McNab Centre of Cancer Innovation. The successful applicant will be responsible for working in collaboration with colleagues in the McNab Centre (including the Directors, Post-docs, PhD students and their supervisors) to establish and run technologies that interrogate vulnerabilities of cancer cells in metastatic microenvironments.

Technologies will include use of patient-derived primary tumour and metastatic organoids, bioengineered reconstructions of the liver, lung and bone microenvironments, robotics, and high-content screening. Responsibilities will also include working alongside the Beatson Institute's Finance and Laboratory Operations teams to plan and run the McNab Centre laboratory and to manage its budget.

A relevant PhD and post-doctoral experience in cell biology/immunology, organoid approaches and/or advanced imaging techniques would be an advantage.
