Scottish Biomedical Postdoctoral Researcher Conference 2023

Friday September 8th 2023

Sir Charles Wilson Building (University of Glasgow)

The Scottish Biomedical Postdoctoral Researcher Conference (SBPRC) is organised by and for postdocs based in Scotland, with this year’s edition focusing on the topics of genetics and scientific writing within biomedical research. The event is organised on a voluntary basis by the postdoc societies in Glasgow and Edinburgh (specifically, IGC at University of Edinburgh and CRUK Beatson Institute in Glasgow). The SBPRC provides an opportunity for networking and research dissemination between postdocs working within Biomedical Research in Scotland.

Our conference is targeted to early career scientists working in the field of biomedical research and aims to provide them with an opportunity to not only hear from a leading researcher about the work developed by their peers, but also to present their own work to an audience of peers. While this is a conference focusing on postdoctoral research, with presentations chosen from submitted abstracts, there will also be an invited keynote speaker and career panel talk.
